What other issues were raised during the Dialogue? (Source:Small group discussion reports and <br />large group discussion notes.) <br />• Transportation <br />o Josephine Road has a high percentage � commuters who drive too fast far road <br />conditions. Commuters use this road because County Road C2 is not complete <br />between Lexington and Hamline Avenues. <br />o Snelling and Hamline is a dangerous intersection. Traffic back up. The <br />intersection needs traffic management improvement of some type. <br />o Enfarcement of speed limits is needed, especially on residential streets. <br />o There is a need far mare public transit and retention � the Circulatar. <br />o A sign is needed at �airview and Maple Lane to direct semi-trucks to Snelling <br />Avenue. <br />o Traffic congestion is a problem throughout the city; better traffic management is <br />needed. <br />o Debris along roadsides needs to be cleaned up. <br />o Is there a Roseville transportation map that shows routes far buses and other <br />transportation providers? <br />o Is there a future plan far growing public transportation in Roseville? <br />o Plantings in road rights-of-way obstruct view of drivers. <br />Parks and Open Space <br />o Applewood, Cottontail, and Central Parks are neighbarhood amenities that get <br />high use. They are great projects! <br />o The Green Space on Lexington between County Road C2 and Josephine Road <br />should be purchased by the City and kept as open space. <br />o People are parking in parks late at night. Autumn Grove is an example. <br />Development <br />o What are the plans far expanding Rosedale? Will bus terminals/trartsfer centers <br />be retained ar lost? <br />o Presbyterian Homes' developments often result in high-density residential <br />islands that are not connected to the neighbarhood. <br />o New, higher density development is generating mare traffic on all streets. <br />a�-Iamlirte Shopping Center is an eyesare and has a negative impact on property <br />values. What are the plans far this site? <br />o There is a need far better restaurants that are not sports baz-s. <br />Misceilaneous <br />o The billboard at Lexington and Josephine should be taken down. <br />o Does Presbyterian Homes pay taxes? <br />o How does Roseville planning take into account the fact that demographics are <br />changing and that traditional definition of "1�t Ring Sub�xb" no longer applies? <br />4 Roseville needs to invest in a community center. <br />What can the City do to respond to these issues?
