Each student has a car. _. <br />- Terrace Apartments -Cross street needs traffic Lights, need a fully controlled °� <br />intersection at Terrace and Pascal. .. <br />m Variance requests far remodeling are not quickly processed and variances on irregular -• <br />lots extremely difficultto get action on. �, <br />� Absentee owners - houses are becomingrun down -what can be done when owners �� <br />deliberately let a house run-down? _:: <br />- Cats need to be regulated - What are the City codes regarding cats? ... <br />- Snelling & Haanline a dangerous intersection - traffic backs up onto Lydia — light helps ' <br />but betke�' 1�'affic management is needed - maybe an acceleration lane. . <br />- Applewood Park - gets high use, a great project. ••• <br />- Plaz�tings in Right-of-way - need mgmt., they get too tall and obscure sight lines far ._ <br />drivers. � � <br />- Presbyterian Homes creates higli-density islands with their approach to development. :': <br />Where will density peak? � �� <br />Group 2 <br />- Student housing needs regulation, especially reinforced limits on the number of persons <br />living in a house. ff six now, will there be mare in the future? <br />- What about RosedaIe expansion? <br />- Speed enforcement needed on residential streets <br />- Blue house is a problem (eyesare)- what can be done? <br />- Mare student housing is spreading along Snelling Drive (single family homes being <br />converted to rental). This is concern far tl�e neighborhood. <br />Group 3 <br />- Traffic - crosswalk far pedestrians needed Snelling Avenue. <br />- Need mare public transit, keep the Circulatar. <br />- Culture changes, planning needs to include: awareness that the 1 st ring is no longer a <br />suburb, therefare a decrease in driving; standards are needed, e.g. Coventry; and rentals <br />need better upkeep. <br />
