� ��� � <br />,� • •'�s �ousing and Redevelopment Authority <br />Background Information <br />HRA Community Dialogues on Housing <br />North West Area Dialogue <br />March 29,2005 <br />Sandcastle Park Warming House <br />The Roseville Housing and RedevelopmentAutharity (HRA)wants to better understand community concerns <br />about housing issues. To achieve this goal, the HRA, with support of the City Council, is holding a series of five <br />neighbarhood znee�ings and two meetings with businesses and orga ations. <br />These dialogues are being facilitated by the Center for Policy, Plaruling, and Performance. There will be a report to <br />the City Council, which will include what was learned from listening to the community and recommendations about <br />ways to address housing issues now and in the future. <br />In an effortto share infarmation as the process unfolds, a summary of each dialogue is being made available to the <br />public. Summaries will be available at neighborhood dialogues, on the HRA web site, and upon request to the City. <br />Far mare information, go to www.citvofroseville.comand click on the "Housing & RedevelopmentAutharity" link <br />or call HItA staff at 651-792-7015. <br />North West Area Summary <br />Who Attended? <br />Thirteen (13) north west area residents, three (3) <br />members � the HRA attended the dialogue, and one <br />(�} commissionereach from the Parks and Recrea- <br />tion and Planning Commissions. <br />One staff member from the HRA and City's <br />Community DevelopmentDepartmentalso was pre- <br />sent. She shared information and responded to ques- <br />tions. <br />All thirteen (13)of the neighborhood partici- <br />pants live in the north west area. A majority of these <br />participants: <br />v have lived in �oseville and thei� neighborhood <br />for over 10 years, the median length cf residency <br />is 22 years; <br />#r live in a single-familyhouse; <br />�✓ own their homes; and <br />•;. plan to be living in the same home three years <br />from now, although three (3)persons were un- <br />decided and two (2) persons plan to be living <br />somewhere in a different home. <br />Nine (9) cf the area participants were between the <br />ages of 36 and 65 and there were three (3) persons <br />over the ~ — , _.. _ _ . — , <br />age cf 66. Topics <br />mentioned included: <br />•.• School District issues <br />�+ Traffic issues on Old Hwy 8 and in the area <br />a� New projects and issues as they arise <br />� <br />r- <br />
