City Council Study Session — 07/18/OS <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 20 <br />up response to be provided at a later time, rather than to take <br />meeting time for reading. <br />Councilmember <br />follow-up ques <br />comment. <br />Ihlan reiterated her desire to raise the public <br />ions at a public meeting to allow public <br />Councilmember Schroeder questioned the validity of the factual <br />information in the article under discussion; opining that it <br />appeared to be more of a propaganda article disagreeing with the <br />Twin Lakes project moving forward. <br />Mayor Klausing concurred that the article hinted as more of an <br />advocacy article, rather than a factual summary; and suggested <br />Councilmember Ihlan submit her follow-up questions in writing <br />for staff research and response. <br />Councilmember Ihlan, via point of order, requested the floor to <br />continue her verbal questions, while agreeing to submit the <br />questions to staff for their written response, following her verbal <br />review of the questions. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined his lack of interest in pursuing <br />this agenda item discussion at this time, and left the meeting at <br />9:Q5 p.m. <br />Councilmember Ihlan proceeded to talk about her questions <br />related to environmental clean up status and apparent hazardous <br />materials present on the various parcels. <br />City Manager Beets disputed Councilmember Ihlan's <br />interpretation of staffs response to several of the questions. <br />Mayor Klausing attempted to focus the discussion on the specific <br />questions, rather than commentary. <br />_ Councilmember Ihlan expressed her concern with the Council <br />— and staff response to her follow-up questions; and for the record, <br />expressed her displeasure at the treatment of her in a Council <br />meeting setting, and apparent lack of respect of her as a <br />Councilmember. <br />
