xi r r <<, :
The City of Roseville truly appreciates its greatest resource, our many volunteers!
Roseville Parks and Recreation is a mainstay in the community because of the extensive,
ongoing citizen involvement through widespread service by community volunteers.
Volunteering in Roseville is easy. The many opportunities allow occasions for everyone to
volunteer in the area of their choosing. On average, volunteers annually give 9 hours of
gratuitous time to the City for parks and recreation based endeavors.
 Annual Suarr of JInteris
General Volunteer
Categories
Parks
Recreation &
Enrichment
Programs
Special Events
Community
Associationsand
Affiliated Groups
Totals I
ProjectAreas Numberof
1aluters
Park Clean-Up Groups 420
Pathway Committee
Scout Projects
Arboretum Green Team
Performance in Park Hosis
Defensive Driving Instruction
Nature Center Reception
Nature Ctr Program Aides
Run for the Roses
Roll for the Roses
RoseAr Festival
Wild Rice Festival
Halloween Spooktacular
Gymnastics Competitions
Holiday Carnival
New Years Eve Celebration
i Supo Services
Board Members
Coaches
12
150
15
12
5
8
12
65
20
5
35
43
40
35
10
:1
350
500
1,887
ProjectAreas
Flower Planting &Care
Park Foundations
Neighborhood Park
Advisory Groups
Tri Leaders
`crzl r.aax
Youth Coaches
CIu6/Grnup Organizers
World rs SpeedSkaing
Championship
Spring Celebration
Earth Day
Ice Show
Tennis Carnival
Discover Your Parks
Rose Parade
Tour de Roses
Production Directors
Theater Cast and Crew
Band Members
Number of
Volunteers
75
85
223
60

6
150
100
125
30
40
70
3
21
100
50
8
225
130
1,506
3,393
Parks and Recreation could not operate effectively, at a high level of efficiency, without
tremendous support and cooperation from city-wide services.
,, Police services from regular and auxiliary officers
r, Legal advice from City Attorneys
t Administrative direction from City administration
L, Financial support and audit controls from the Finance Department
t., Equipment and supplemental manpower from the Public Works Department
Technology support from the Data Center
: Design, drafting and survey work from Engineering
r Code enforcement assistance and planning from Community Development
, Protection, prevention, safety enrichment and equipment use from Fire Department
; Public information services from Communications
f, Animal control and document delivery services from Community Service officers
