�,� REVIEW of REQUEST: <br />�#. ] The Roseville Fire Marshal has received a reauest bv Monarch Bus service to install a <br />4,000 gallon above ground fuel tank; and overspill container and fill cap; installation of <br />an 8 foot by 21 foot by 12 inch concrete slab; and installation of 13 bumper posts for <br />collision protection. <br />�=. � The above ground tank will be for dispensing diesel fuel for business (bus company) <br />purposes only. <br />�. � Section 9Q2.06A, states: The storage of flanznaable liquids in outside aboveground tanks <br />is prohibited in all areas other than the area bounded by Cleveland Avenue, Highway 36, <br />the northern City Limits and the western City Limits. <br />�� � Section 902.06C states: notwithstanding the limits for aboveground tanks listed in <br />subsections A and B above, such storage tanks in non-residentially zoned areas may be <br />allowed by issuance of a permit approved by the City Council. The permit is subject to <br />review and recommendations of �the Fire Marshal and the conditions imposed by the City <br />Council. <br />5.� STAFF COMMENTS: <br />�. : The proposed improvement has been reviewed and determined by the Fire Marshal to <br />meet the requirements prescribed in the Minnesota international Fire Code. <br />�.� The proposed improvement sliall be in compliance with the installation details, as <br />submitted (see attached). <br />5.3 A permit to perform the work must be reviewed and approved by the City and the <br />applicant andlor contractor of work must call for inspection when the installation is <br />complete. <br />�r,� STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br />�5. ] The City Planner recommends that the request by Monarch Bus Service, 1743 County <br />Road C to install a 4,000 gallon above ground fuel tank and associated improvements be <br />approved, subject to the conditions listed in Section 5 of the this report. <br />7,� SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: <br />'�. ] BY MOTION, approve the request by Monarch Bus Service, Inc., 1743 County Road C, <br />allowing the installation of a 4,000 gallon above ground fuel tank and associated <br />improvements, subject to the conditions listed in Section 5 of this report. <br />Prepared by: Thomas Paschke (651-792-7074); John Loftus (651-792-7341) <br />Attachments: Location map, aerial photos, site plan, narrative <br />PF3675_RCA_082205.dnc- Page 2 of 2 <br />
