City Council Regular Meeting — 08/08/OS <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 32 <br />Discussion included number and angle of cameras; standards of <br />similar communities; image desired; itemization of proposed <br />improvements; complaints fi'om home viewers and audience <br />regarding poor quality of audio; and involvement of <br />broadcasters, as well as viewers. <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn provided his experience resume from a <br />broadcast television perspective; his conversations with people <br />in the broadcast booth and their observations; installation of a <br />"Telestrator;" and previous Council directives that had not been <br />completed. Mr. Kysylyczyn opined that staff was not qualified <br />to make the necessary decisions related to equipment, and that a <br />professional consultant should make recommendations. <br />Mr. Beets noted that sound issues appeared to be at the GTV <br />studios and due to Comcast switching from analog to digital <br />systems. <br />_ It was the Council's consensus to continue this discussion to the <br />next Council Worksession and direct staff to present options, <br />— isolate issues and determine camera issues. <br />The motion and second were withdrawn by the makers of the <br />motion. <br />��. Consider Council Rules of Procedure Consider Council <br />Acting Mayor Maschka concurred with Councilmember Rules of Procedure <br />Schroeder's previous comments related to not pursuing Council <br />Rules of Procedure at this time. <br />It was the Council's consensus to not consider this item. <br />1�.
