Previous Process - as per City Code Section 407.06 (Prior to 2002 change in
Council Policy and the Attorney Contract and Council Policy)
1. Notice of violation to property owner giving 14 days to correct violation.
2. Second notice of violation to property owner giving another 14 days to correct
violation. Also a vrarning is included that failure to comply could result in an
Administrative Ticket ($100).
3. An Administrative Ticket ($100) is issued with a note stating that if the violation is
correctedwithin 7 days the ticket will be cancelled.
4. Codes Coordmator attempts to contact the property owner and resolve the issue
5. Codes Coordinator discusses the violation with both the Community Development
Director and the City Atorney. If the CDD and the CA agree a citation is appropriate,
and would be the most effective measure to take, a Ramsey County Court citation is
written (by the Codes Coordinator) and mailed to the violator. Copies are also mailed
to the prosecuting attorney and Ramsey County Court.
 Page 1
