Parking: Existing parking areas will serve the new worship facility (450 seats) and � ect <br />t��e parking ratio required by city ordinance. The total parl�ii�� count (tip�er and lower <br />lots) will be �48 spaces. The city ordinance requires a ratio of 1 parking space for eveiy <br />3.5 seats within tl�e principal place of assembly. The existing parking wi11 remain largely <br />untouched with the following exceptions: 1) the area where thc existing garage was <br />located wi11 be restored and a curb added connecting existing curbs; 2) parking spaces <br />adjacent to the new main entry will be striped to accomi��odatc relocated accessible <br />parlting spaces; and 3) north edge of �ZaazM�. parking area wi11 be adjusted southward to <br />accommodate of�ice addition, canopy drop off, new sidewalk and garden plantings. <br />Stonn Water Management: Storm watcr runoff froin new hard surfaces (i.e. new roof <br />areas) wi11 be treated to NURP water quality standards to the maxi�nu�n extent pr�ctical. <br />Ponding for rate control requirements wi11 be accat��z�xodatad with a tank located below <br />the worship area. This {u�» wi11 be oversized with the overage designed ta retain water to <br />accommodate water quality standards. Existing hard surface conditions wi11 be largely <br />unaltered with the exception that remediation to an existing condition wi11 occur where <br />water drains to the west. A depression armored with ri�rap wi11 be created immediately <br />surrounding the outlet of the existing star� water discharge pipe (see drawing Sheet 2). <br />Life Safety and Accessibility: This project wi11 include a number of code related <br />improvements that wi11 malce the existing facility (though can�pliaz�t at the time it was <br />constructed) compliant with current state codes. Amenities such as toilets wi11 be <br />replaced such that they are fu11y accessible at the main 1eve1. The building wi11 be <br />provided with an automatic �ire suppression system and construction systems retrofitted <br />to bring the facility into compliance with current State Life Safety Code. <br />
