��� <br />��� <br />Sympathy and Support for <br />Victims of Hurricane Katrina <br />Date: 09/26/OS <br />Item: S.d <br />Hurricane Katrina <br />Proclamation <br />Whereas: All residents of the City of Roseville care deeply about the victims <br />of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath; and <br />Whereas: We resolve as a community to help in whatever way possible <br />including sending two Roseville police officers to New Orleans to help the New <br />Orleans Police with law enforcement duties; and <br />Whereas: Roseville firefighters are on standby and ready to send volunteers if <br />the call goes out for additional help. In the meantime, firefighters are accepting <br />donations of school supplies at Fire Station #3, 2335 N. Dale Street; and <br />Whereas: Thousands of Roseville residents have responded with great <br />generosity, making financial and in kind donations and volunteering for relief <br />agencies; and <br />Whereas: The City encourages all Roseville residents to prepare for the <br />unexpected yourselves by creating your own emergency preparedness kit and plan. <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council and the City of Roseville <br />does hereby declare our sympathy and support for all victims of Hurricane <br />Katrina. <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City <br />of Roseville to be affixed this 26th day of September 2005. <br />Craig D.
