late: 09/26/05 <br />:tem; S.c <br />Ct�astmas�ers Proclamation <br />��� <br />��� <br />TOASTMASTERS MONTH <br />October 2005 <br />Whereas: Toastmasters International's vision is to empower people to achieve <br />their Cul� potential and realize their dreams; and <br />Whereas: Since Toastmasters began in 1924, more than three million men and <br />women have benefited from improved communications skills, better meeting <br />facilitation skills leadership skills, and increased self-confidence; and <br />Whereas: Toastmasters' meetings include both prepared and extemporaneous <br />speaking. Speeches are evaluated emphasizing positive immediate feedback and <br />ideas for improvement within a supportive environment; and <br />Whereas: The Toastmasters' mission is to provide a mutually supportive and <br />positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to <br />develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence <br />and personal growth; and <br />Whereas: Eight Toastmaster clubs are located in the City of Roseville. <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council and the City of Roseville <br />does hereby declare October 2005 to be Toastmasters Month in the City of <br />Roseville. <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City <br />of Roseville to be affixed this 26th day of September 2005. <br />Craig D.
