City Council Regular Meeting— 09/26/OS <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 13 <br />Ayes: Maschka; Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />5.c Proclamation of Toastmasters Month <br />City Manager Neal Beets reviewed the mission of <br />Toastmaster's in providing mutually supportive and <br />positive learning environments in which every member <br />develops communication and leadership skills, which in <br />turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth; and noted <br />there were eight Toastmaster Clubs located in the City of <br />Roseville. <br />Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, proclamation of October <br />2005 to be Toastmasters Month in the City of Roseville. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />5.d Proclamation Expressing Sympathy and Support for <br />the Victims of Hurricane �at�ria�a <br />City Manager Beets noted that two of the City of <br />Roseville's Police Officers were currently in New Orleans <br />providing assistance to that Police Department. Mr. Beets <br />further noted that school supplies for children in the <br />devastated area were being accepted at the Dale Street Fire <br />Station, and if determined necessary by FEMA, a fire crew <br />was on standby to travel to New Orleans to provide <br />assistance. <br />City Manager Beets encouraged citizens to provide <br />forethought to preparing their own preparedness kits, and <br />directed residents to the City's website for further details. <br />Ihlan moved, Maschka seconded, declaring the City of <br />Roseville's sympathy and support for all victims of <br />Hurricane Katrina. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Proclamation <br />Toastmasters <br />Proclamation <br />Expressing <br />Sympathy and <br />Support for the <br />Victims of <br />Hurricane Katrina <br />
