City Council Regular Meeting — 09/26/OS <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 21 <br />the limited space for the driveway. <br />City Attorney Anderson requested City Council action on two <br />separate issues before considering voting on the previous motion: <br />that of the variance request; and that of the Minor Subdivision. <br />Mr. Anderson noted that, if the City Council chose to �J�� � the <br />variance requests, they would need to establish their own <br />findings as a body for doing so, to allow staff and his office to <br />draft written findings within the 60-day review time frame. Mr. <br />Anderson advised that policy issues for considering the minor <br />subdivision could be addressed separately. <br />Discussion included the October 2,2005 60-day review deadline; <br />extension of the 60-day rule; and preferred action for the motion <br />currently being considered. <br />City Attorney Anderson advised the Council could rule the <br />motion tabled, or the maker could withdraw the motion. <br />Councilmember Ihlan expressed, as the maker of the motion, to <br />table the motion with the understanding findings for denial as <br />discussed tonight would eventually be adopted. <br />Ihlan moved, Schroeder seconded, a motion to table <br />consideration of this item until the regular Council meeting of <br />October 24,2005. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, a motion to extend the 60- <br />day time frame for consideration of the request; and direct staff <br />and the City Attorney to send written verification to the applicant <br />extending the 60-day time limit for further consideration of the <br />request. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ma�chka; Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Mayor Klausing explained that the Council must create findings <br />that demonstrate a hardship.
