Only one <br />full application (using the DEED application) is n�cessary to be considered for all of the <br />programs and each agency evaluates the application together. However. individual <br />resolutions are required for each different agency as well as cover pages and particular <br />agency information that is not included in the main DEED application. <br />3.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />— 3.1 Staff recommends adoption of the attached resolutions in support of the application for <br />— contamination funding for Twin Lakes Project, Phase 1, Stage 1 from State Department of <br />— Employment and Economic Development (DEED) Contamination Cleanup Grant, <br />— Metropoli�an Council Tax Base Revitalization Account Grant. and Ramsev Countv <br />EnvironmentalResponse Action Fund. <br />3.2 The contamination clean up of Twin Lakes and redevelopment of the area will benefit not <br />only the City but also have a positive impact on the state, metropolitan region and county. <br />Cleaning up one of the largest Brownfield areas in the state provides an improved quality of <br />life for residents, improvements to the natural environment (including Langton Lake), and a <br />significant positive economic impact in new jobs, new residents and new taxes. <br />4.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: <br />4.1 Per resolution, approve the submission of the application for a State Department of <br />Employment and Economic Development (DEED) Contamination Cleanup Grant for <br />Twin Lakes Phase I, Stage 1 environmental cleanup. <br />4.2 <br />4.3 <br />Per resolution, approve the submission of the application for a Metropolitan Council Tax <br />Base Revitalization Account Grant for Twin Lakes Phase I, Stage 1 environmental <br />cleanup. <br />Per resolution, approve the submission of the application for a Ramsey County <br />EnvironmentalResponseAction Fund for Twin Lakes Phase I, Stage 1 environmental <br />cleanup. <br />Attachments: Draft Resolution Prepared by: Cathy Bennett (490-2241) <br />RCA TL Cleanup Grants (10124105) - Page 2 of 2 <br />
