The intention ofthe t��onosec� amendments <br />— were to clear up confusing language by removing ar�dlox anraending specifictext c�nd be <br />— creating a chart that included all lot requirements (1005.01) c� permittedlconditional uses <br />(1005.015). <br />L? One ofthe maior changes that occurred was the modificationto the "definitions"section. <br />where s taffattempted to provide clearer language on specifictopics. However, a recent <br />request has concluded that staffinadvertently left out two definitions from the uses chart. <br />L_.� Specifically, the Code includes a description ofa "major c� minor vehicle re�ir" but the <br />"use" chart does not `��'�'� ��n� for either, it only accounts ���- a gener�al "veluc�e repair" c� <br />allows it as a conditional use permit in the B-3, Generur ��a��,ess Distr�ict. <br />I.� The City Planner reviewed the situation with the City Attorney where it was concluded that <br />staffshould proceed with a request forCouncil support formod�ing the uses chart within <br />Section 1005 ofthe City Code. <br />�� STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />?. L The City Planner recommends that the City Council support the inclusion o f'Major <br />Automobile repair" as a conditional use in the B-3 zone c�nd "Minor Automobile Repair" c�nd <br />a permitted use in the B-3 zone. <br />.�.� SUGGESTED ACTION: <br />�. I BY MOTION, APPROVE the change in the Business District chart pertaining to uses, <br />specifically identifying a"Major Automobile Repair" c�nd requiring a conditional use <br />permit in the B-3, General Business Distr�ict and a"Minor Automobile Repair" as a <br />permitted use in the B-3, General Business District c�nd direct staffto make the <br />appropriate modification to Section 1005.015. <br />� <br />
