Insurance: <br />* EMPLOYER will contribute up to a maximum of five hundred twenty <br />dollars and s�ty-eight cents (520.68) per monthper employee for <br />Calendar 2003, or the same amount which it contributes for all other <br />City employees, whichever amount is greater. <br />� Note: 2005 City Contributions of $28�=opt out, $41 �--�����es, <br />$525—�ing�e + 1, $'735=Families. <br />4. Uniform Allowance: <br />• The City will increase the allowance to the amount of the average for <br />the Stanton 5 group in 2006 and 2007, once the Stanion data is <br />released, if Roseville's is less. The allowance would not be decreased <br />if it were more during the contract term. <br />5. Post Employment Health Savings Account: <br />• The City and MSRS will allow the teamster's group to enter into this <br />plan as offered to all others in the City plan through MSRS beginning <br />calendar year 2004 as set forth in the attachment A(Memo of <br />Understanding). <br />Policv Implications <br />Each year the City budgets for wage and benefit adjustments for all employees. The <br />adjustments stem from the best information known or anticipated from the metro labor <br />market, labor settlements, and the consumerprice index. <br />The City's compensationpolicy objectives include: <br />Internal Equity — maintaining a compensation and benefit package that is as <br />consistent as possible between the City's three union and two non-union groups. <br />External Equity- the policy is to maintain a compensation and benefit package <br />that is equivalent to comparable cities for comparablepositions. <br />Financial Implications <br />The budgeted funds in the 2005 would cover the cost of the proposed Teamster's <br />collective bargaining agreement for 2005 and Council would need to budget <br />appropriately to meet the contract requirements for 2006-2007. <br />Council Action :�.equestec� <br />Motion to approve the proposed terms and conditions, and attached memo of <br />understanding for the 2005 w 2007 collective bargaining agreement with the Teamster's, <br />and to direct the City staffto prepare the necessary documents for execution, subject to <br />City Attorney approval as to legal form. <br />� <br />
