Molnau, Senator Mariy, Rep. Greiling, Chairman Bell and
Commissioner Sanda:
I am concerned about litter along the west side of Suelling Avenue in Roseville between
County Road B and oselawn Avenue. Residents and visitors to Roseville complain
about the ongoing problem of trash and other debris in and near the two Metropolitan
Transit bus shelters there, on the west side. I am concerned that the State and Met Transit
are not taking care of your properiy and that reflects badly on the appearance of our City.
The City does what it can, placing trash cans near the transit shelters. Nearby businesses
have agreed to empty the trash cans, but trash accumulates faster than those businesses
can feasibly take care of them.
In addition, the City recently entered into an agreement with ""ranstop to locate transit
shelters in Roseville. Under an agreement with the City, ""ranstap keeps its shelters ffe
of graffiti and litter. Tzanstop asled Met Transit if it could place its shelters where the
two Met Transit shelters are currentlylocated, yet Met Transit refused. That is too bad.
Transtop at least keeps its shelters and the area around them clean.
