City Council Regular Meeting —10124105 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 3 <br />A. �� Sands, 2612 Aldine <br />Mr. Sands advised that a relative of his had recently been <br />contacted by phone by a firm identifying themselves as <br />"Midwest Research," performing a survey regarding the <br />Twin Lakes redevelopment area. Mr. Sands opined that <br />this was actually a call promoting Twin Lakes, not asking <br />for opinions; and noted his ongoing attempt to obtain <br />additional information and find out who was performing <br />the survey. <br />Mayor Klausing, and City Manager Beets, both assured Mr. <br />Sands that the City was not performing a survey and had no <br />information regarding the solicitations. <br />B. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn noted that, while the 2006 Budget was not <br />on tonight's agenda, he suggested an additional expense to <br />consider would be for employee searches. Mr. Kysylyczyn <br />provided information from various media sources related to <br />job searches involving City Manager Neal Beets and Fire <br />Chief Rich Gasaway. <br />C. Resident of 2838 �a�eview Avenue <br />The resident requested that public comment be recognized <br />for Agenda Item 12 entitled, "Consider the Request of Rick <br />Bochee Homes for a Variance and Subdivision at 2808 <br />La�eview (PF3669}." <br />Mayor Klausing so noted the request. <br />D. Councilmember Ihlan <br />Councilmember Ihlan requested a public update from staff <br />regarding pending litigation for the Twin Lakes <br />Redevelopment Project. <br />City Manager Beets noted two areas as still pending: <br />1) An appeal from the successful City motion for <br />summary judgment is being appealed by the Friends <br />of Twin Lakes; with City Attorneys working through <br />the process at this time. <br />2) The remaining portion of the original lawsuit was <br />
