Section 4. Housing Action S�e�s/Imp�ementaiion Strategies <br />The following action steps are implementation strategies to help achieve the <br />goals identifiedabove. The action steps are annually refined as part c� the <br />comprehensive planning process and Housing Plan review. Not all action steps <br />will be implemented in the current year, rather they will be implemented based <br />upon prioritization in alignment with annual budget resources. Many c� the <br />action steps are noted as a high priority for the HRA. <br />4.1 Create an educational environment that promotes quality housing <br />renovationand housing assistance through the Home &GardenShow, <br />HousingResourceCenter technical assistance and target marketing. <br />. Fund an annual Hoine � Garden Fai� featurin� housin� contractors, <br />remodeling vendors, landscape companies and finance agencies. The Fair <br />includes seminars, children's activities and door wizes and is held the <br />first Saturday in February or last Saturday in January. Identified as a <br />high priority of the HRA. <br />� Assist the Housins�Res�urce Center North Metro which provides technical <br />construction management and financial advice thxough an annual fee paid <br />by the HRA. The services of HousingResource Center are provided free to <br />residents. Services include assistance on building evaluations, city code <br />and permit process, scope c� work, construction cost information, <br />construction bid process, evaluation c� submitted bids, monitor <br />construction process and purchase counseling. Identified as a high <br />priority of the HRA. <br />. Produce a reinodelers hana'book that provides a summary c� projects <br />highlighted over the years through the Rambler Redesign Program. <br />• Stren�then ihe citv's relaizonshi� with local banks, realtors, school district <br />and non-profit service providers to effectively inform the community <br />about the benefits c� housing rehabilitationand reinvestment programs <br />and partnerships. Identified as a high priority for the HRA. <br />. Develop a Housing Newsletter to market HRA housing programs and <br />provide target mailings to neighborhoods that may be experiencing signs <br />c� blight. Identified as a high priority for the HRA. <br />4.2 Support housing programs that fund housing renovations and <br />improvements for single family homes with grants and low or deferred <br />interest rate loans.
