���� <br />��� � <br />WORLD AIDS DAY <br />December 1,2005 <br />�:il�:..�.1}'��I.� --- _ <br />1[�m= ��.� . ....-- <br />Prac]:�tii�t���, ��V�r'arL{l�: Ai�3� ��y <br />Whereas: The HIV/AI�S pandemic has taken the lives of more than 20 million <br />people throughout the world; and <br />Whereas: World AIDS Day was established in 1988 to call for a spirit of <br />tolerance and greater exchange of information about HIVIAIDS; and <br />Whereas: World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1 to raise <br />awareness about this deadly disease; and <br />Whereas: On World AIDS Day, countries around the world unite to support <br />individuals, families and communities affected by this disease and to renew our <br />commitment to prevent the spread of HIVIAIDS, develop effective treatments and <br />find a cure. <br />Whereas: More than 5,000 Minnesotans are living with HIVIAIDS, and <br />HIV/AID� continues to be a major public health concern; and <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council and the City of Roseville <br />does hereby declare December 1, 2005 to be World AIDS Day in the City of <br />Roseville. <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City <br />of Roseville to be affixed this 28th day of November 2005. <br />Craig D.
