Business Items (Action Items) <br />a. Approve Request to Extend Working Hours for Twin Lakes Infrastructure <br />Project <br />Klausing moved, Johnson seconded, approval of a variance to Roseville City <br />Code, Section 405.03 (Hourly Restrictions of Certain Operations), allowing con- <br />struction activities to begin at 7:00 a.m. rather than 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays from <br />August 29 -November 21, 2009, due to a construction project completion dead- <br />line of December 31, 2009. <br />Mayor Klausing expressed his desire that contractors be sensitive to neighbors, <br />while understanding the importance of the project deadlines; hoping for early <br />completion of the project to minimize impacts. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Johnson; Roe and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />b. Approve the OSAKA Roseville, Inc. Application for On-Sale Intoxicating <br />Liquor License <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, approval of the On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License <br />for OSAKA Roseville, Inc., located at 1675 West County Road C. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Johnson; Roe and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />c. Authorize the Issuance of a Request for Proposals to Qualified Firms for the <br />Zoning Code Update <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon summarized the authoriza- <br />tion request for staff to proceed with Requests for Proposals (RFP's) for consult- <br />ing assistance for updating the City's Zoning Code. Mr. Trudgeon advised that <br />the Metropolitan Council as a body would be considering the City's Comprehen- <br />sive Plan Update on Wednesday of this week; and he anticipated having the plan <br />back before the City Council for their final adoption in the near future. Mr. <br />Trudgeon noted the statutory requirements for the guiding documents of the <br />Comprehensive Plan and the City's Zoning Code to be consistent, and to be <br />brought into compliance within nine months. <br />
