In adopting this preliminary levy, it was understood that the Council would conduct a series of additional budget-related meetings to establish funding priorities and to make final spending decisions before the annual truth-in-t�ation meeting. In support of this effort, the City Council established the following additional meetings: Date October 12, 2009 October 19, 2009 November 9, 2009 November 16, 2009 December 7, 2009 December 21, 2009 2010 Budget Meeting Schedule Topic / Purpose Prioritization session — Phase I Prioritization session — Phase I (tentative) Prioritization session — Phase II Finalize 2010 T� Levy and Sudget Truth in T�ation Hearing Adopt Final 2010 Sudget and T� Levy Est. Duration 2 Hours 1 Hour 2 Hours 1 Hour 1 Hour 1 Hour As noted in a previous communication, it is suggested that the first prioritization session be structured in a way that allows the Council to prioritize all city programs inde�endent of the costs or service levels associated with those programs. This ensures that on a fundamental level, programs that are valued the most are ranked the highest. It is suggested that the Council use the October 12th meeting for this purpose.
