Purpose. The Roseville City Code, Title 10, Sections 1011.01 through <br />k L 1011.05 and Section 1002.02 are hereby amended by revising language regarding <br />I� nonconforming uses and structures to provide more clarity and ease of use of this section. <br />1� SECTION 2. Section 1002.02 (Definition of �N�o ��n ��rrn�a g Structure") is hereby <br />J � amended as follows: <br />1� NONCONFORMING USE OR STRUCTURE: A nonconforminguse or structure is <br />16 any use, placement, or arrangement of land and/or structures legally existing prior to the <br />1'' enactment of a Code provision prohibiting such use or structure. <br />18 <br />I� SECTION 3. A pre-existing nonconforming use or structure may be continued but may not be extended, <br />expanded, intensified or changed, unless to a conforming use. Exceptions include: <br />1. An expansion of a pre-existing residentialprincipal or accessory structure in an R-1 or <br />R-2 zoning district which maintains the same property line setbacks and structure <br />separations provided there is no further encroachment of any non-conforming structural <br />
