Role of the City Council:
The role ofthe City Council as I perceive it is one of serviceto the community. The
Council is the caretaker of the city. As city officials, the Council has to balance the
financial responsibilities of the city with what our residents' need to live, work and play
in tlis community. Roseville has an excellentfinancial rating, a solid c base, a Gold
l Parks and Recreation system, and a first rate city staff. A city council person
should look to the city staff for information regarding the issues of the city and to its
citizens for help with the solutions.
Other Comments:
As a Roseville resident of almost 30 years, my husband and I have raised our family here.
We have enjoyed many of the amenities that our city offers. My children all attended
Roseville schools and were involved with our Parks and Recreation programs. By
volunteering for the city I tried to give something back to the community, but now I
would like to do more, be even more involved. I would like to represent our community
with the respect that she deserves. If given the chance, I would serve our community
with respect to its citizens, its city sta'f, and my fellow City Council members.
