The intent is to <br />make the transportation 1���1]� eff'tcient, environmentally sound, convenient, attractive <br />and safe. <br />The goals to accomplish this objective are to: <br />. keep the integrated community plan up to date for all modes of transportation <br />. c�rrec.�t congestion problems in high-traffic areas <br />. work to establish an extensive network of non-motorized pathways linking neighborhoods, <br />. parks schools and commercial areas <br />. assure that all road crossings and intersections are properly marked, signalized, and lighted in <br />accordance with reasonable safety standards <br />. work to further develop the community mass transit services <br />. work closely with State, County and local citizens to make I 39fnTand Highway 36 safer and <br />more efficient <br />II-4 <br />
