Community Housing � <br />Rosevi 11 e intends to continue to offer a miY of attractive, safe and well-maintained housing <br />which is available without discrimination. These specific housing goals are to: <br />. balance differenttypes of housing alternativesto meet the need of residents <br />. encourage maintenance and upgrading of existing homes <br />* develop and maintain close knit neighborhoods, including multi-unit developments <br />. upgrade amenities and necessities citywide to maintain and improve property values <br />. help keep educational and religious institutions as part of the community <br />Leisure Opportunities <br />The City intends to continue to develop activities, programs and facilities for a broad spectrum of <br />interests and ages so as to expand cultural experiences, satisfy social needs, and to provide <br />opportunity for active recreational pursuits. <br />The specific goals include: <br />. maintaining, upgrading and expansion of parks, open spaces, athletic fields and other <br />amenities <br />. to construct a Roseville Community Center <br />. to expand and improve a system of non-motorized pathways and trails <br />. continuingto provide facilities that meet the needs and expectations of the entire community <br />. tr� cooperatewith other agencies and governmental units to maximize leisure facilities and <br />activities <br />Community Public Safety <br />The City will continue to strive to reduce fears for personal safety through crime prevention <br />progta.ms, proper public safety planning and prompt response to emergency assistance requests. <br />The City Council goals to fulfill this objective are to: <br />. teach crime prevention strategies through the Neighborhood Watch programs <br />. continuethe police presence in neighborhoodsto remove the opportunity for crime <br />II-3 <br />
