Involved in Youth Hockev.
Please state your reasons for wanting to serve on the Twin Lakes Stakeholder Panel: (Please be
as specific as possible - use additional sheet tf necessary)
As a significant land holder of a strategic parcel within Twin Lakes, it is imperative that we
(Roseville Properties/Welsh Companies) are represented on the Stakeholder Panel. We have invested
significantly in the Twin Lakes area as we have long believed that Twin Lakes should become a
dynamic, successful redevelopment project of which residents, property owners, homeowners, and
business owners could all be proud. Roseville Properties has owned one of the parcels in
Twin Lakes since 1978.
What is your view of the Twin Lakes Redevelopment area and how could you contribute to the
process of preparation of redevelopment plans in cooperation with the Master Developer?
We believe Twin Lakes is both a challenge, and an opportunity. The myriad of site, environmental,
and economic challenges are certainly difficult issues. On the other hand. redevelopment of Twin
Lakes is an opportunity to clean up a contaminated, brownfield site; to accommodate new residential,
retail, office, and commercial users; to greatly enhance the curb appeal and image of the site;
and generally to be a highly successful mixed-use redevelopment. In our previous efforts to redevelop
a portion of Twin Lakes; we committed several hundred thousand dollars in due diligence and
study costs to understand the physical, governmental, environmental, economic, and design
challenges within Twin Lakes. We have a strong working knowledge of Twin Lakes.
Other Comments: (Includeany further information you would like the City Council to consideror
that you feel is relevant to the appointmentyou are seeking. You may also attach other materials you
would like the Council to consider.)
We appreciate your consideration.
Please return by the application deadline of January 21, 2 004 at 4:30 p.m. to:
City Hall, Administration Office at 2660 Civic CenterDrive, Roseville, M N 55113 or fax651-792-7020
