Councilmember <br />Schroeder noted that the application requests knowledge <br />on business, real estate, etc. that the average person does <br />not have, thus deterring them from applymg." <br />"Community Development Director Welsh said he would <br />amend the application to be as inviting as possible." <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />3.11 Approve Parks and Recreation Beverage Contract <br />Renewal <br />Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke reviewed <br />the Request for Proposals (RFP's) received in December <br />of 2003; with two (2) proposals received. Mr. Brokke <br />noted that the Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company <br />proposal was the most beneficial to the City; and that the <br />City had experience with the firm, as it had been the <br />supplier for the City over the last ten (10) years. <br />Councilmember Kough sought clarification from staff <br />regarding if reducing the size of the bottled beverage were <br />feasible; and whether there were any cost savings for <br />utilities in operating the machines. <br />Parks and Recreation Director Brokke advised <br />Councilmembers that the City did have options to a certain <br />extent, and he would seek comment from the supplier <br />regarding Councilmember Kough's questions. <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, authorizing the City <br />Manager to enter into an agreement with Coca-Cola <br />Enterprises, Inc., d!b/a Midwest Coco-Cola Bottling <br />Approve Parks and <br />Recreation <br />Beverage Contract <br />Renewal <br />
