Organizational City Council Minutes —1/5/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 23 <br />opined that City staff was being very cautious in seeking <br />Council approval for City signage, as speci�c provisions <br />were provided that differentiated City and public signage, <br />and the concerns expressed were only applicable to <br />permanent signs. Mr. Anderson further opined that <br />legally, a good argument could be made that the City did <br />not need to seek permission for City signage, and staff was <br />being careful in informing the City Council of their intent <br />prior to the event. <br />Councilmember Schroeder sought clari�cation from City <br />Attorney Anderson related to banners being permitted for <br />City use. <br />City Attorney Anderson responded af�rmatively, noting <br />that in this instance, and in the specific portion under <br />i�c u��i�n, �' k t� �i gnage ���r���b �ot re�� l�t�d $� � l] <br />� .. .� <br />Mayor Klausing, given the discussion, recommended that- <br />his item be removed from the Consent Agenda and <br />directed City Attorney Anderson to provide additional and <br />� clari�ed information to the City Council for action at a r <br />later meeting.
