Regular City Council Meeting — 02/09/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 32 <br />Roseville Small Business Owner <br />Appointee #1 of 3 <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, appointment of Matthew <br />Clysdale, Maguire Agency, 495 Hillscourte North, as Roseville <br />Small Business Owner representative to the Twin Lakes <br />Stakeholder Panel. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Schroeder, Maschka, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Appointee #2 of 3 <br />Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, appointment of Jane Larson, <br />1700 West Highway 36, #801, Roseville Small Business Owner <br />representative to the Twin Lakes Stakeholder Panel. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Schroeder, Maschka, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Mayor Klausing sought consensus for appointment of three ���, <br />rather than two (2) representatives. <br />Appointee #3 of 3 <br />Ihlan moved, Maschka seconded, appointment of Dan Wall, 510 <br />Ryan Avenue, as Roseville Small Business Owner representative <br />to the Twin Lakes Stakeholder Panel. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined his lack of support for this <br />applicant, and expressed his disappointment in the appointment. <br />Councilmember Kough opined his lack of support for the <br />applicant, even as a former Mayor, but noting his demeaning <br />newspaper articles on individual Councilmembers and the <br />Council as a whole; further opining that the apparent lack of <br />respect would not serve well on the panel. <br />Debate ensued between Mayor Klausing and Councilmember <br />Schroeder related to the perception of political appointments and <br />the makeup of the panel. <br />Mayor Klausing noted that he would abstain from voting, or vote <br />
