Regular City Council Meeting — 02/09/04 <br />I�R�AF`T Minutes - Page 31 <br />positive comments about the City and desire to become involved. <br />Mayor Klausing spoke against the appointment, noting that Mr. <br />Rustad had been a contributor to his campaign; but opined the <br />majority support of Ms. McGehee for appointment to the panel. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined that past comment was for <br />attempting to involve more people in the community that had not <br />been participants in local government before; noting that Ms <br />McGehee had substantive participation in the community <br />already. <br />Mayor Klausing encouraged Mr. Rustad's involvement in the <br />community, but reiterated his support for majority rule in the <br />appointments. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder and Kough. <br />Nays: Ihlan, Maschka and Klausing. <br />Motion failed. <br />A�pointee #2 of 2 <br />Klausing moved, Ihlan seconded appointment of Tam McGehee, <br />77 Mid Oaks Lane, as resident representative at-large to the <br />Twin Lakes Stakeholder Panel. <br />John Kysylyczyn, 3083 Victoria Street N <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn opined his lack of support for appointment of <br />Ms. McGehee to serve on the panel. <br />Councilmember Schroeder spoke against the appointment, noting <br />Ms. McGehee's involvement with the Roseville Concerned <br />Citizens group and her negative opinions and involvement in <br />other projects; opining her involvement would be disruptive. <br />Councilmember Kough concurred with Councilmember <br />Schroeder's concerns about Ms. McGehee's past negative <br />involvement in the community, but opined his support of <br />providing Ms. McGehee an opportunity to change and move <br />forward. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Maschka, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: Schroeder (absolutely Nay). <br />
