REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: 02/23/04 <br />ITEM NO: 3.2 <br />DepartmentApproval: �..i�' ���r�� �i rl;�;�rk7�•;�I; <br />T P ��,� Consent <br />Item Description: Request by Hood Packaging for a 15 foot VARIANCE to Section 1007.01E <br />of the Roseville City Code for property at 3075 Long Lake Road (PF3547). <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br />1.1 Hood Pacicaging, in cooperation with the property owner Investors Real Estate Trust, <br />seelcs approval of a 15 foot VARIANCE to Section 1007.O1E (Building Height) of the <br />Roseville City Code to allow the height of the northern portion of the structure at 3075 <br />Long Lalce Road to be increased from 40 feet to 60 feet. <br />1.2 Hood Pacicaging is planning to install a state-of-the-artblown film line or plastic <br />extruder. The fully assembled machine stands approximately 58 feet in height and is <br />capable of extruding large width plastic film used for pacicaging in the food industry <br />(Pilgrims Pride and Harvest States). <br />PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br />. City Council Action: February 23,2004. <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATION: <br />21 At its February 4,2004 meeting, the Roseville Planning Commission recommended <br />approval (7-0) of a 15 foot VARIANCE to Section 1007.O1E (Building Height) of the <br />Roseville City Code for Investors Real Estate Trust & Hood Pacicaging, 3075 Long Lalce <br />Road, subject to 4 conditions. <br />3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION: <br />31 Adopt a resolution granting approval w/conditions (see Section 7 for detailed action). <br />PF3547 — RCA 022304 - Page 1 of 5 <br />
