The committee purchased 50 reflective vests and 201itter grabbers. City staff also made several <br />"pick-up sticks" for spearing trash. Both Ramsey County and MN-DOT have agreed to provide as <br />many bags as the City needs for our effort. The Committee has spent approximately $1,000 of its <br />budget. The majority of the expenditure is spent on staffing. The Committee is seeking financial <br />support from a civic organization to help cover additional costs. <br />Volunteers <br />Students from Northwestern College and Roseville Area Schools and participants in the Adopt a <br />Park programs will pick up litter in April. Although the Committee has conducted several outreach <br />efforts, the City has not heard from many volunteers, although, several people said they will pick up <br />litter when walking. North Heights Lutheran Church is planning a clean up day. They will pick up <br />along the streets around their church, and they will contact other Roseville churches to do the same. <br />RAS will increase their litter control efforts in April. The Committee will continue to promote the <br />pick up days on the following days: <br />. Monday, April 5, 9-11 <br />� Thursday, Apri18, 9-11 <br />. Tuesday, April 13, 1-3 <br />. Saturday, Apri117, 9-11 or 1-3 <br />. Wednesday, April 21, 9-11 <br />• Sunday, April 25, 1-3 <br />• Wednesday, Apri128, 1-3 <br />Requested Council Action <br />The Ad Hoc Committee hopes that all Council Members and all residents select a day to help pick <br />up litter.
