Add to furnish and insta112" rigid insulation under the slabs at the Public Works Building.
See the Steenberg letter dated 9/4/03. This amount was agreed upon by Steenberg during a
phone call with Doug Wagner on 2/26/04. Add $ 1,103
Add to saw-cut control joints in the concrete topping at the Public Safety Building per the
request of the structural engineer (PR #15). The documents do not call out control joints in
the topping. Add $ 2,317
Provide recesses in the concrete topping slab for the owner supplied rolling storage system
per ASI #12. Add $ 1041
Steenberg had submitted an add for Alternate #7. This alternate has been rejected by the
owner and therefore is no add to the contract. Add $ 0
Alternate #SF, to add the three flagpoles has been accepted by the owner. The bid for this
alternate is part of the original Steenberg bid. Add $1,700
Backcharges from A& P for incorrect concrete work by Steenberg. This work took place
between 12/23/03 and 12/30/03. Deduct $1,560
Backcharge to Steenberg for extra money that had to be paid out to A& P for winter
conditions due to the fact that the concrete topping at the Public Safety Building was delayed
from mid-October to November 18 and 19, 2003. Per the project drawings and schedule it
was clear that interior block walls could not be started until the concrete topping was poured.
The precast concrete planking was erected, grouted and ready for topping the third week in
November. This large delay in the schedule forced A& P to build temporary heated
enclosures around the masonry areas. This delay also forced A& P to keep a forklift, forklift
operator, foreman and foreman vehicle on site for longer than what they had budgeted from
the original schedule. Deduct $ 4,000
Backcharges from A& P for incorrect rebar placement concrete work by Steenberg. A& P
drilled and epoxied in new rebar. Deduct $ 83
Steenberg had submitted a price to change the colored concrete to gray concrete. This change
was not accepted by the Owner. Add $ 0
Add for Steenberg to apply concrete sealer at floors called out to receive concrete sealer in
the room finish schedule at the PS Building. All concrete slabs (toping and slab-on-grade)
were bid in Bid Packages #1 and #2, which did not include a room finish schedule for the PS
Building. Because it was unclear of which rooms/floors were to receive a concrete sealer in
the PS Building, Steenberg submitted a price of $10,198 to complete this work. The price
was negotiated and reviewed with the owner, and it was decided that half of this price would
be paid. Add $ 5,099
Western Steel Erection, Inc. Add $ 6,312
Add to install steel for the beam extension at the folding partition in the PW Building. The
drawings did not show the beam extending into the pocket where the folding partition was to
be stored. Add $ 696
