Mr. Schwartz noted that the City had a strong Public Works program due to those efforts, and further noted the only community that had a self-funding Pavement Management Plan (PMl'), wit solid funding through assessments and state aids. Mr. Schwartz reviewed the collective experience and diversity of the Public Works staff; diversity of services; and cutting-edge status of technology and operations; allowing the City to compete comparatively with private sector services.
