Lack of facilities mana�ement/maintenance plan <br />Mr. Schwartz noted that a major portion of the City's <br />infrastructure is fifty (50) years old, and it would be <br />necessary to ensure that programs, such as the PMP, were in <br />place to ensure they remained dependable. <br />Discussion included defining city-owned staging areas for <br />cost-effective operations. <br />Mr. Schwartz highlighted the need to complete the City's <br />trail system, to accommodate a vibrant and mobile <br />community, interested in healthy lifestyles. Mr. Schwartz <br />further noted tiie need to develop a well-programmed <br />building preventative maintenance program to get their <br />maximum life and keep them clean and user-friendly. <br />Councilmember Maschka recommended that Finance <br />Director Miller add to the issue list a look at the City's <br />hard assets for depreciation of not only vehicles and <br />equipment, but also for facilities. <br />1.
