The City Hall Campus project has a total project cost of $11.5 million: the Police <br />Department addition costs $5 million for construction; $2 million for upgradingthe <br />Public Works facility; $1 million in site improvements; and approximately $1.1 million <br />for City Hall upgrades and facelift; plus the remaining construction, management fees, <br />architectural fees, furnishings and fixtures. The Proj ect remains on track and on budget. <br />The estimated annual maintenance costs of the facility will exceed $100,000, with some <br />savings through off-peak electrical use. <br />��titr��f�������w���� <br />C6. Consider marquee signs at high-traffic areas (i.e., shopping centers) for public <br />information messages. <br />R6. The City owns two marquee signs: one at the Skating Center and a second in front <br />of Central Park. Currently Parks and Recreation staff post recreation information on <br />these two marquee signs. Staff will study use of these two marquee signs for non- <br />recreation messages. Private marquee signs on private property — such as at shopping <br />centers -- are used to advertise businesses and activities on that site. <br />**s*#*******«�s.****** <br />C7. What is happening with the proposed property rezoning at 2550 Hamline from low- <br />density residential to medium-densityresidential? What was the Planning Commission's <br />rationale for recommending approval of the development proposal? <br />R7. This issue will be brought to the Council at the May 10,2004 Council Meeting, and <br />will include a Public Hearing and detailed minutes from the Planning Commission's <br />hearing that explains their reasoning. <br />****��ss�*********��«�* <br />C$. What is the future of Old Highway 8 and County Road C-2? How do residents stay <br />involved, particularly in the aesthetic issues along Old Highway 8? <br />R8. Staff will make note of neighborhood interest and will broaden the geographic scope <br />of its mailings should a development project be proposed in that area. <br />**x*��rii�***�******* <br />C9. Would the City of Roseville consider a partnership with private providers of short- <br />range, high-speed wireless for wi-fi (wireless fidelity) transceivers in parkland areas <br />similar to what the City of Minneapolis is doing? <br />� <br />
