Barbara Obeda, 2910 N Asbury Street Mrs. Obeda commented positively and complimented the recent work of the Clean-up Committee in Roseville. Mrs. Obeda specifically noted the areas along County Road C, Hamline Avenue and along the railroad track rights-of- way. Mrs. Obeda suggested that all residents continue to participate, and if walking, take a garbage bag along and collect any trash; noting that if everyone continued to do their part, the City could remain beautiful. Mrs. Obeda, on a personal note, that her husband had been privileged to serve on the Clean-up Committee and continued to collect several bags of trash daily that he brought to City Hall. Councilmember Kough recognized Mr. Edward Obeda's commitment and outstanding participation in clean up efforts in the City; and concurred with the great improvement he'd seen in the community. B. Bob Truman, a St. Paul Resident Mr. Truman commented on the substantial amount of money he spent in Roseville for dining and social activities; noted the consideration the City of St. Paul was giving to becoming non-smoking, and strongly encouraged the City of Roseville to give the same consideration to adopting an ordinance against smoking. C. Abby Knight, Student and Roseville Resident Ms. Knight concurred in her support of Roseville considering becoming a smoke-free community. D. Dan Roe, 2100 Avon Street Mr. Roe identified with Mayor Klausing's former comments encouraging commission applicants, if not involved on a commission, to continue to be part of the process and remain a positive influence in the community. Mr. Roe noted that many times, citizens only get involved when opposing an issue, but also needed to be involved and express their opinions when things are positive. Mr. Roe encouraged Councilmembers to continue to advertise applications for all commission openings, whether existing commissioners are eligible for reappointment to provide
