Enirain Costs: The estimated Engineering costs reflect the size of the project
alternates. For both Alternates 1& 2, the majority of the project engineering and
administration would be done by City Staff. The amount of design work would not
overload our existing staff.
For Alternate 3 we would have additional engineering costs, this is because the actual
constructed trail mileage is doubled in the residential district. We would have to
complete a trail design on both sides of the street as well as wark with properiy owners.
We do not believe that we could deliver this alternate under the limited timeframe
available to us and would need to retain a consultant to assist in plan development.
These costs are detailed below.
Project Cost Summary
Taking all of these costs into account, the estimated constructioncosts for the project alternates
as described in this feasibilityreport are as follows:
Alt l: Bituminous Alt 2: Bituminous Alt 3: Concretel
Trail '. p Trail Lexington to Bituminous Trail
+++ Walnut Yr
ConstructionCost $2,235,000 $1,665,000 $3,265,000
Ri t- of- wa $50,000 $50,000 $100,000
E' eerin , Le alF Other $402,300 $299 700 $816,250
Total Pro'ect Cost $2,687,300 $2,014,700 $4,181,250
County Road B-2 Trail
FeasibilityReport
May 24,2004
