City Council Regular Meeting — 05/24/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 8 <br />Ms. Rubey and Chief Sletner concurred with <br />Councilmember Maschka's analysis. <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, approval to the <br />Roseville Police Department to pursue a Joint Powers <br />Agreement between the City of Roseville and the St. Paul <br />Police Department for a records management system; with <br />final Council approval of negotiations upon their <br />completion. <br />STAFFNOTE: Please have Neal verify actual motion — <br />JPA coming back to Council for final approval and <br />authorization for signature? <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />4.c Approve Audio Visual Purchases for City Building <br />Project (Consent Item 3.m) <br />City Manager Beets reviewed past Council directive to <br />staff to return with a specific listing of all audio visual <br />needs for Council consideration. Mr. Beets reviewed the <br />proposed construction and Council Chambers room design, <br />as well as those same items as related to the lower level <br />Emergency Operations Center. Specific bids, as per the <br />State Contract, were individually tabulated for review. <br />Councilmember Schroeder clarified his request for <br />discussion was for room design concerns, and suggested <br />that staff include a copy of the sketch for future <br />discussions. Councilmember Schroeder questioned the <br />viability, and feasibility, of linking the camera system in <br />the EOC with that in the Council Chambers; and also <br />reiterated his request that a small monitor be placed in the <br />rear of the Council Chambers for Councilmembers' <br />awareness of who was on the air. <br />Discussion ensued regarding linking of the two systems. <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, Communications <br />Specialist Tim Pratt responded that wiring would be <br />Audio Visual <br />Purchases <br />City Building <br />Project <br />
