Mr. Pratt advised that the lower level system would <br />be used primarily for training sessions, but that both areas <br />would be accessible for the emergency generator. <br />City Manager Beets advised Councilmembers that the dais <br />display panels would be fully recessed in new dais. <br />Councilmember Kough sought clarification on the <br />expertise of the system's designers, and the City's recourse <br />if it was found to be operationally inadequate. <br />City Manager Beets advised that the City was utilizing the <br />expertise of engineering personnel from C-TV and the <br />Cable Commission, noting their expertise, and further <br />noted that the equipment would be under warranty. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined that the City had very <br />capable staff in this area; and noted that the expertise <br />provided by C-TV was included in the community hours <br />allotted to each City (100 hours) as part of the Cable <br />Commission's franchise fee agreement. <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, authorizing staff to <br />purchase audio visual equipment off the state contract bid <br />list in the amount of $26,048.45, plus tax and delivery <br />charges from Alpha Video and $880 plus tax from EPA <br />Video, as listed on the equipment price list for the system <br />design charts as part of the staff report dated May 24, 2004. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Ihlan, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Moment of Silence Moment of Silence <br />Councilmember Kough requested a Moment of Silence in honor <br />of those Minnesota National Guard units being deployed. <br />Councilmember Kough noted that his son was with the Austin <br />Guard Unit and would be leaving for Iraq on June 3, 2004; and <br />
