City Council Regular Meeting — 06/14/04 <br />Minutes - Page 25 <br />3) The proposed design is out of character with other parcels <br />directly adjacent to the subject site; and <br />4) The proposed design, due to its limited area for a house <br />footprint, may require future variances. <br />Councilmember Schroeder concurred with Councilmember <br />Maschka's 1100 foot lot size preference; speaking in favor of the <br />motion to deny the request. <br />Councilmember Kough reiterated his support of the request, <br />opining that the map was deceiving, given his personal <br />inspection of the area in question. <br />Mayor Klausing noted that while there may be a hardship <br />perceived, it was not persuasive and he would defer to the <br />Planning Commission's unanimous recommendation for denial. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka, Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: Kough. <br />Written public comment received as bench handout(s) related to <br />PF 3571 included: <br />1) June 14, 2004 letter from Clayton and Shirley Knutson, <br />2482 N Pascal Street (in support); <br />2) Ilse Bosch, 2425 N Pascal Street (in support); and <br />3) Teresa Wilhoit, 2490 N Pascal Street (in support). <br />11. Consider Transit Shelters at Various Locations Consider Transit <br />Public Works Director Duane Schwartz reviewed the Shelters at Various <br />background of this issue, providing concerns of staff following Locations <br />their review of proposed sites for transit shelters; and other issues <br />related to the proposed franchise agreement.
