To the Roseville Mayor and City Council,
In e-mailing my comments to you in regards to Twin Lakes. In unable to attend the
July 12`' council meeting because of a previous commitment.
When we started the Stakeholders process I had many reservationsregarding the Twin
Lakes Development. As we went through the process from February to June with John
Shardlow, I became more and more convinced that this project must be developed as one
project, not as a piece meal development. I feel that by doing it as one project it will be
less expensive to the taxpayers of Roseville. As policy makers, I feel that this project
must go forward now, with land use concept plan number 1.
Others on this Stakeholders panel feel that we should wait until the economy improves.
(15 to 20 years) I feel that this is an etremely poor approach to this development. By
waiting it would be way more costly to clean up and develop the area. By waiting we
take the chance of winding up with an unacceptable miture of uncontrolled
development. By having the master plan, we would have control as to our vision of this
area.
I would like to see you, as elected officials get this project moving now.
Again, I am supporting this project now, with the master plan and not 15 or 20 years in
the future.
Thank You for the opportunity to serve on the Twin Lakes Stakeholders Advisory Panel.
Your support for this project will be a win-win project for the citizens of Roseville.
Thank You,
Doug Wilke
d.wilkena,comcast.net
CC: Neal Beats
Dennis Welsch
