City Council Study Session — 06/21/04
DRAFT Minutes - Page 24
proposed sidewalk.
Mr. Kysylyczyn concluded his comments by questioning the
validity of considering construction of this project when staffing,
maintenance and other improvement programs were being
reduced or eliminated in an effort to meet current budget
restraints and cuts in state funding.
Heather Stell, County Road B-2 and Victoria Street
Ms. Stell addressed their driveway drainage problem, but
questioned whether there were children living on County Road
B-2 that would necessitate construction of a pathway.
Ms. Bloom, at the request of Mayor Klausing, presented
information related to an alternate alignment previously
suggested by Councilmember Schroeder for the pathway to
extend up Cleveland Avenue under the bridge at County Road C
for eventual connection at the Northeast Diagonal proposed
pathway. Councilmember
Maschka noted that the turnback issue was relevant, that the
County was receptive to it, and it made more sense to bring the
road into city domain, under the City's assessment policy, noting
that residents would pay 25% for reconstruction, with seniors
