Mayor Klausing concurred. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined that the ranking system <br />allowed for more gray areas; while the yeslno responses were <br />more definitive. Councilmember Schroeder also requested that <br />the forms be revised to eliminate the area for a name, and only <br />have a date. <br />City Manager Beets noted that the third form was similar to one <br />used by supervisors in-house to evaluate employees. <br />Mayor Klausing requested that a copy of that form also be <br />provided to the City Council and City Attorney for review. <br />Mayor Klausing opined his preference for a number ranking <br />system, to identify areas for growth where applicable. <br />Councilmember Kough opined that, on the third form, he <br />wanted more detail as to why a"poor" or "excellent" rating was <br />shown. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined his continued support for the <br />yeslno responses on that particular form. <br />City Manager Beets was directed to include an item on the July <br />19,2004 Council Study Session agenda for further discussion of <br />process and evaluation form format to be used for the City <br />Manager evaluation. <br />City Attorney Anderson, at the request of Mayor Klausing, was <br />directed to provide a copy of their firm's evaluation form to <br />Administrative Assistant Margaret Driscoll for distribution to <br />Councilmembers prior to the next Council meeting, along with <br />the other documents to be provided for further review and <br />comment. <br />Recess Recess <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at 5:45 p.m. and reconvened the <br />meeting at 6:03 p.m. <br />
