City Council Regular Meeting — 07/12/04
DRAFT Minutes - Page 8
City Manager Beets responded that no formal specific notice of
tonight's meeting had been mailed to the Twin Lakes
neighborhood.
Councilmember Ihlan requested that time be allowed tonight or
at a future meeting, following adequate and specific notice, to
provide comment from Twin Lakes neighborhood residents.
Councilmember Schroeder opined that it would be fairer to
Twin Lakes residents to allow time for public comment at a
later date, since no specific notice had been sent out.
Mayor Klausing polled the audience to determine if there was
anyone in the audience wishing to speak on the Twin Lakes
project, other than those anticipated from the panel and
development team, who were under the perception that public
comment would be heard on the project tonight. No one
appeared for comment.
Mayor Klausing opined that he would like to avoid public
comment on Twin Lakes tonight in order to absorb the report
from Facilitator John Shardlow, Consultants Bujold of Maxwell
Research and Jim McCombs of McCombs Group; the
Stakeholders' Panel and Roseville Citizen Advisory Chairs and
Commissioners; as well as the Master Developer team
representatives.
Mayor Klausing sought consensus on leaving the agenda as
presented. Councilmembers Schroeder and Maschka concurred;
with Councilmembers Ihlan and Kough preferring a
rearrangement of Items 7 and 8. Mayor Klausing declared
majority rule, and the agenda remained as presented.
Public Comment about City Issues
Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the
audience on any non-agenda items.
A. Kathy Lauer, 600 Sextant Avenue
Ms. Lauer brought two concerns to the attention of the City
Public
Comment about
City Issues
