Date: ����] 9/04 <br />Item: 6.a <br />Proclamation <br />�������� National Night Out <br />NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2004 <br />WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) is sponsoring a <br />unique, nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program on Aa�gicst 3, 2004 called <br />"National Niglit Ot�t ; and <br />WHEREAS, tlie "21st Annual National Niglzt Out"�rovides a tnzique opportunityfor <br />Roseville to join forces witlz t/iousa�ids of other commacnities across �f�r country i�z promoting <br />cooperative, police-conzmunity crime and drugprevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, Neighborhood Watch plays a vital role in assisting tlie Roseville Police <br />througli joint crinze, drug and viole�zce prevention efforts i�t Roseville and is supporting <br />"National Night Oa�t 2004"locally; and <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of Roseville be aware of tlze importance of <br />crir�:e prevention programs and the ilrr�ac� that their participation can have on reducing <br />crime, drugs and violence in Roseville; and <br />WHEREAS, police- eomrnunity partiierships, neigliborlxood safety, awareness and <br />cooperatio�z are important themes of the "National Night Out "program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE WE, THE ROSEVILLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL, do <br />hereby call upori all citizens of Roseville to join ROSEVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH <br />GROUPS caid �,�c National Association of Town Watch in supporting "21 st Annual National <br />Night Out" on August 3, 2004. <br />FURTHER, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, WE, ROSEVILLE MAYOR AND CITY <br />COUNCIL, do hereby proclaim Tacesday, Augacst 3, 2004 as "NATIONAL NIGHT OUT" r'rR <br />ROSEVILLE. <br />�'r�y ���ur� v���r <br />� <br />+4f���or <br />
