Loss of custodial services at City facilities managedby Parks and Recreationmay result in; <br />o Unkept facilities reflecting back on the City and leaving a bad impression on residents and guests, <br />in the end, we will compromise image and safety. <br />o Reduced room availability for community groups, rental groups and users with City affiliations. <br />o Lost revenues due to unavailabilityor lack of upkeep. <br />o Lost customer service <br />o Increased contracted services, there will still be maintenance costs tied to these facilities. <br />o Reduced efficiency, ie. consistency and dependabilityof a full-time staff person verses potential <br />regular turn-over (resulting in lack of experience and knowledge) and possible lack of reliability <br />and ability from part-time staff or volunteers. <br />o This position maintains public areas. <br />
