City Council Study Session — 08/16/04 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 5 <br />.'�'� <br />that, should the Council direct staff to do so, a uniform <br />allowance accountability program could be put on the <br />negotiation table. <br />Mayor Klausing sought clarification of Councilmember <br />Kough's recommendation as it related to tonight's <br />requested action. <br />Councilmember Schroeder opined that attempting to <br />incorporate additional accountabilities may not achieve <br />Councilmember Kough's desired effects. <br />After further discussion, Councilmember Kough declined <br />to move a revision of the City's clothing allowance policy <br />in tonight's action, or future negotiations or budgets. <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, approval of the <br />proposed terms and conditions for the 2004 collective <br />bargaining agreement with the Teamsters as outlined in <br />the Request for Council Action dated August 16, 2004; for <br />a contract term from January 1, 2004 to December 31, <br />2004 with wages increased by 2.5% effective January 1, <br />2004; and City contribution for insurance benefits up to a <br />maximum of five hundred twenty-dollars and sixty-eight <br />cents ($520.68) per month per employee for calendar year <br />2004, or the same amount that it contributes for all other <br />city employees, whichever amount is greater; and an <br />annual uniform allowance increase of 2.5% from $656.00 <br />to $672.00, effective January 1, 2004; and directed staff to <br />prepare the necessary documents for execution. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan, Schroeder, Maschka, Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Items Removed from Consent Agenda <br />Not applicable. <br />Items Removed <br />from Consent <br />Agenda <br />5.
