The utility improvements and reconstructionwere completed in July. All final <br />punch list items have been completed, and the contractor has requested final payment. <br />ST-03-12 Draina�e <br />Improvements <br />SS-03-14 Sani <br />Re�airs <br />Neighborhood 18: Valley Park, east side of Avon St, south of <br />Countv Road D <br />Neighborhood 56: Sherrenl Dellwood St. intersection <br />Neighborhood 36: Nature Center southeast of Dale St. and <br />CountyRoad C <br />Neighborhood 18: Easement south of Millwood Ave. <br />Nei�hborhood 73: Easement south of McCarron St. <br />Neighborhood 18: Victoria Street, between County Road D <br />and Millwood Ave. <br />Policy obj ectives: City policy requires that the following items be completed to finalize a construction <br />contract: <br />� Certification from the City Engineer verifying that all of the work has been completed in accordance <br />with plans and specifications. <br />• A resolution by the City Council accepting the contract and beginning the one-year warranty. <br />Financial implications: The final contract amount, $313,152.50 is $16,367.50 more than the awarded <br />amount of $296,785.00. This represents an increase in contract of approximately 5.4%. The increase is <br />itemized in Change Order No. 1. <br />A majority of the cost overrun was on Segment 4: Victoria Street sanitary sewer repair. This project <br />was planned in conjunction with Ramsey County's mill and overlay of the segment of Victoria between <br />County Road C and D. Due to wet weather and poor soil conditions, the City's proj ect was delayed, <br />causing a delay for the County's proj ect. As a result, Ramsey County decided to put off their pavement <br />rehabilitationproject until next year. The City's project as awarded did not include costs for restoration <br />of the road to a stable driving surface or restoration of residential driveways. Costs to complete this <br />were shared between the City and County, the City's share to complete this work was $11,057.50. Due <br />
